Hello New to the forum, bought a 2000 XJ Sport a few months ago. I recently started hearing an odd knocking noise on the passenger side, in between the glove compartment and door. It sounds to me in person like a gummy rubbery knocking noise but maybe Im wrong. So far the car hasn’t given me any trouble besides a bad water pump, engine has 123k miles on it.

There's an electrically operated evap solenoid mounted on the firewall that might be it.
