Just did a Compression test and the results kinda made me upset... Cylinder 1 = 60, cylinder 2 = 147. Guess I figured out the problem. Now where do I begin?

Im taking my cylinder head off in a couple days and replacing it with a new one. Along with the Exhaust Manifold and Radiator. Manifold has a crack in it and radiator is leaking where the Shi**y plastic crimps onto the metal. Ill keep you guys updated on how and if the new head fixes the problem.

That low of compression could be rings also. You know til you open it up though. I wish you luck.

Second time i've heard of low compression on cylinder one. Same symptoms, too. Check fire sticky valves and piston rings...

For*, not fire. Don't check your valves if fire is coming out lol... I hate typos...

Yeah, I like fire tho... Once I get the head off I am going to check the condition of the cylinder wall and what not. This Jeep has been a pita since I got it two weeks ago. But for some reason I love her, and not giving up yet

not to thread jack or anything but once in a blue moon when im idling or rolling foward/reverse my rpms will drop almost to the point were it will stall and then the motor will jerk causing the rpms to go over a 1000 then settle pack to normal and it will do it a couple of time the stop

Best to perform a "wet" compression test if you have a low cylinder. That means adding a teaspoon of oil to the cylinder and re-doing the compression test. If compression comes UP with that oil in the cylinder, that means the rings are the primary suspect.

This sounds like it could be an alternator problem or fuel delivery trouble. Check fuel pump connections and fuel lines. Get a second opinion though.

I got my battery checked and I need it to get it replaced any way that it could be part of the problem
