well pulled the distributer cap off, it had some type of corrosion and its got little melt spots in the posts. the connectors in the spark plug wires pulled out, so i had to jerry rig them for now. and the spark plugs, well about to have a melt down. all of it was covered in a yellowish/white scale deposit and the plugs had a gap so wide as i can stick the end of a pair of neelde nose pliars between the electrode and the bent metal thing it archs on. think i have orginal stuff under here.

got the full tune up done plugs wires dist. cap/roder fuel filter and oil change. it worked the shuddering is gone.... for now lets keep our fingers crossed. it is running better anyhow. now i gotta go to the salvage yard to get the valve that all the heater hoses go to. moving hoses to get to plug 6 and the neck snapped right off. oh well. but thanks ALOT! il come back to you if more problems occure. you know your ****

good idea bout the straight pipe. what is that vaccum bs for anyway? is that to allow hot water into the heater core? and how do i go about blocking it?

The HCV was eliminated in later years. It actually shut off the flow through the heater core with the AC on. Not needed. I live in Arizona and I've done our family's 3 Jeeps with no issues. The heat into the cabin is actually controlled by a blend air door anyway.

wtf that thing is pointless. y would that be there. its gonna be simple when my woman comes home with it. got the hoses caped right now. how would i seal the vaccum leak
