I have a quick question about seafoam, I just put in a new o2 sensor will
seafoam damage it or should I put the old one back in when I run it through.
I have high No readings and failed my smog test, it's a 95 with a 4.0
Thanks

Might as well throw the old one back in it just to be safe when Seafoaming, especially since it worked fine. I feel like I read somewhere a while ago that running Seafoam through the intake fouled up someone's upstream o2.

I bought this product because of a high Nox reading on 2 smog tests. No vacuum leaks new O2 sensor still failed, so I want to try and clean any carbon out before dropping a bunch of $$. I've heard good things about seafoam. Do you know somthig better?

Yea, pulling it apart and cleaning it. There is no magic in a can, otherwise all the engine savvy folk would save their time by pouring in a can rather than tearing it down.

I've had Seafoam work pretty good on old engines. Gonna admit I've never tried it on an engine with an O2 sensor... at 312xxx+ miles, might as well replace it... (been replacing everything anyways). People have been sticking unnecessary crap on engines from day one... An overhaul is certainly the best option, but in the meantime, cleaning some of the gunk out of your engina is an okay thing. Better living through chemistry and all that.
