Default O2 sensor bad?

I took my front drive line out and drove around the block. got back and the yoke ripped the wires out of my O2 sensor. It didn't run any different so does that mean it is bad?

I wish my O2 wasn't rusted in place. I also can't figure out how to remove the wires without busting them. Any suggestions, beside PB Blaster?

Heres what works, almost all the time. Run the vehical for a while to get it good and hot, 02 usually comes right out with a 02 sensor socket or wrench.

I just replaced my post cat sensor last week. Ended up just cutting it in half so I could get my impact on it to get it out. Worked like a charm. Just an idea for ya if your struggling to get it out.

So should I just use a pair of pliers to yank the wires out? And I don't have an O2 wrench, because I'm poor. Can I just use a normal combo wrench or adjustable jaw?

Using the heat method seems the most logical. The exhaust and o2 sensors are different types and thicknesses of metal so they will expand at different rates. The exaust should expand more quickly than the o2 sensor. I imagine a good cheater bar would come in handy as well. Just my 2 cents.

Use a socket so you don't round off the edges and make it more difficult for yourself. A pair of vice grips at the min, but I don't know if all that will fit.

if it wasnt bad before, it is now that all the wires are ripped out of it..

Unless you know which wires go to what. The sensor itself shouldn't have been damaged, just the wiring.

That is, unless something happened like mine and the actual sensor got snapped in half.

Mine is still hanging there right by the front diff.
