Default O2 sensor

I recently got the Jeep running code free. I had a really nasty crack in the exhaust manifold, but had no codes. I replaced the header w/ an APN today and now I am getting an O2 sensor code... code 21. Should I bite the bullet and go ahead and replace it or just pull it out, try and clean it then put it back in?

replace it, they are cheap enough, and cleaning never really works.

Oxygen sensors have a finite lifespan. Cleaning is not recommended.

Absolutely replace it. I recommend using NTK for your 95 XJ. That would give you the exact same sensor as what is in there now.

Tip for you. Do not, do not buy no-name "el-cheapo" sensors! Cheap parts are cheap for a reason.

What he said^^^! Also stay away from the "universal fit" ones that you have to splice in the wires.

4... Tear down was done pretty fast. Had to make a run to the parts store for some fuel line afterwards. The installation went somewhat smooth, w/ the exception of the bottom side bolt that goes in behind one of the primaries... had to fight w/ it for a bit.
