Jeep is a 1999 xj limited. automatic with 242 tc. started with the remote. Got in went to shift into drive as soon as I stepped on the brake jeep quit. Put key into ignition and started. check engine light came on. Drove home thru snow keeping eye on the gauges. When I got home and could get to my phone I checked the codes. Got a P0705. jeep starts in P and N. Back lights come on in R. Trans shifts into OD at about 40. Wondering if I will be doing any damage if I keep driving it like this until I can get it into garage and check it out.
Update. Check Engine light went out tonight.
