yeah you should be good... just make sure with some jacks that at full flex it doesnt bottom out or fall out (with some extra room to play so you dont twist the teeth off)...

by the way i was looking at a guys driveshaft in a 05 06ish dodge cummins that was in the back of his truck and it has that style of part where the ujoint is on one side and the 4 holes are on the other side (that bolt to the XJ/ZJ front driveshaft)... whether or not the 4 holes are in the right spot i dunno... but i got a 03 and was gonna check it on mine...

determined by what lift and drivetrain setup you have... hes givin you 2 measurements above so all you would have to do is measure what you would need and see if either of thoughs would work... then you know what to get them out of...

the ZJ driveshaft is almost 3 inches longer than the XJ shaft and with the 4.5 inch liftkit the slip yoke in the middle is almost fully extended out. with the zj shaft it should wind up sitting almost in the middle giving me room to go in and out. when i get the zj shaft i'll post a pic of both installed to show you the differance

I'm going to do the same thing, do you have an 8.25 rear? I have a 4.5 in lift as well and getting the hack n tap so I'd like to know if this will work for my application.

what year and type transfercase do you have 231 or 242 new style or old .
i have the d35 rear
It is also very simple to measure for a drive shaft from what the drive shaft shop by me said if i want to buy a new one. set up the hack n tap in the jeep put the xj on the ground not on a jack rotate the two yokes so that the yokes are horozontal (cups side to side) measure out from face of the yoke where the screw for the strap bolts on. then subtract 2 inches that is the length of your driveshaft fully compressed. that will give you 2 inch slide in and out because the yoke slides aprox 4 inches total.

you have a d35 so that zj driveshaft will work with my bigger lift because i have a 8.25, is this therotically correct
