Im not sure if this should be in OEM forum or Modified? Hopefully its in the right one.

1996 Cherokee Sport Police Vehicle

I was replacing the stock radio with an aftermarket one and came across some loose wires that were electrical taped off at the ends that were not part of the radio wiring harness. The black wire Im guessing was just a ground wire to maybe the police radio or something. But I have no idea what the white and purple wires are to. The purple isnt the Right Front + speaker wire as I have that one already hooked up to my speaker, that pueple wire is a seperate wire. Also it might be tough to see but the top red and orange wires are just cut at the left end.

I havnt had the chance to trace the wires to where they start as I had to goto work earlier today, but maybe someone may know what these are or Im guessing they may have just been extra wiring as it was a police vehicle in its past life.

That might be where that white one goes too, not positive though. I know there are two wires that run to it. But yeah, try it out

You're going to find a blue billion of those in your jeep if anyone has fiddled with it. Best thing you can do is pretend like you didnt see it unless something in its area isnt working right.
