When i back up and turn my steering wheel while backing up, it seems as if it tightens up to the point you cant turn it anymore. Its not completly turned like normal to where it wont turn anymore its like gets where its stuck way before its normal time.

 

lift/tires?

maybe something funky in your steering. check all bushings and whatnot

 

It should turn the same amount forward or back,have you check your balljoints to see if they are binding?

 

its a 98 cherokee classic with stock suspension and stock tires and well when driving at high way speeds when i turn my wheel to the left it grinds and i know that problem and how to fix it but its just my steering wheel will do this backing up left or right.
