Noob Tire sizing

I have a 96xj with a 3.5 lift. Whats the biggest tire I can fit WITHOUT trimming? Recommendations? Should I add spacers? Thank youu 😊

31s and get rims with 3.75 back spacing

Thank you! I actually swapped the fenders and header panel to the 97-01 style today. Does that make any difference? I noticed the fenders dont come down as close to the tires.
