Noisy Transfer Case Shifter
My Transfer case shifter is making a rattling noise when sitting at idle. I can push down slightly on the shifter and that makes the noise stop. After driving and then stopping the shifter comes up slightly and it starts to rattle noise again. Is there anything I can do to stop the shifters movement?

Mine does that too and a friend of mine had the same problem. I just put up with mine but he said there is some sort of bushing or something in the linkage that wears out. Im not sure exactly where it is but its part of the t-case shifter linkage. It really doesn't bother me since my jeep makes so many other rattling noises but it might be worth taking a look at. Some one else feel free to correct me if I"m wrong.
