Quote: my rough country 3" i just installed make noise in the front shocks but its just the shocks doing work, nothing to be worried about
yea i'm not really worried as much as just disappointed. I didn't expect the noise to be there and maybe that's just a reflection on my lack of knowledge with new shocks. It is my first time doing this and there's always a learning curve with these things. Maybe i'll give Rough Country a call today and just ask them about it. Maybe they can shine more light on it for me.

frm what i know that oil shocks make that kinda noise, now since u have a lift and therefore your coils are easy now, they let the jeep 'bounce' (dnt knw the right word) more. . its kind of how a cadillac drive, i hope u ppl get what im trying to say..

I'm suprised nobody asked this yet, but is yours the regular 3" lift with the hydro 8000 shocks? or the Series II 3" lift with the nitro 9000 shocks?

hmmm... I haven't got my lift yet... but I'm willing to bet the guys hearing the noises have the cheaper hydros, and the guys not hearing them have the nitros. just a guess.

I just called Rough Country and they said it probably has air in them and I could take them out and turn them upside down and try and plunge the air out. He said it was no big deal and it wouldn't hurt anything but if I didn't like it I could return them for the better ones. of course I would have to pay the difference.

I dont think its that big of a deal so oh well.
