When you bring it in for it's check up ask what they would charge to drain and replace the transfer case fluid (Dexron III) if it's within your budget it would be nice to have that done. I would expect it to cost ~ 10-15 pounds. Of course it would be 1/2 that if you did it yourself.

yep will definately get that done, thanks.

the squeeling cant be the serpentine belt as it doesnt do it at idle and i replaced it myself along with the idler pulley about 3 months ago.
the squeeling is only when the cars moving and is a constant speed noise so very strange!

You might be right that it's not the serpentine but If it squeals when the jeep is stationary and you rev the engine than it may be your new serpentine is not tight enough. But if it only happens when the jeep is moving than we should look else where.

You said "would suspect brake squeel if it wasnt so regular" I think you have good cause to look over the brakes, possibly the brake pads are so worn the wear indicator is contacting the rotor. That would make a squeal sound when the jeep is moving.

Some brake pads have 'wear indicators' some do not. Like this:

definately no squeeling when its revved stationary. its like a squeeking now as you are driving and like a 'eek eek eek eek' kinda noise! lol
i dont think it can be the brakes as i had them replaced 2 months ago. (pads and discs). could it be brake dust though?

Very likely it is your brakes. Sometimes a rock or stone will get stuck between the metal shield and the rotor making a racket. But your's sounds like pad on rotor squeeking.

My new brakes were making funny sounds but the noise would stop when I lightly touched the brakes (pedal). I installed some anti-rattle clips and 90% of the noise is gone. I only intalled the lower clips as the top ones would rub the rotor. When it's warmer I will see if I can find the correct clips and/or install them so they don't rub. The pack of anti-rattle clips I bought had two pairs of clips, two of the clips were slightly different than the others. My guess is I needed to buy two packs of clips and use the 4 smaller anti-rattle clips. I have linked some pics of the anti-rattle clips installed, I hope they help.
