Default Noise when not accelerating

95 Cherokee 4x4 4.0 manual. When driving if I'm not accelerating there is a noise coming from the rear part of the Jeep that sounds kind of like what it sounds like when you down shift and drag on the engine except it is in the back of the Jeep. any ideas?

Hi & welcome to CF from Tj in NJ. Sounds like a bearing in your rear. I have noticed alot of XJ Jeeps have a right rear axle bearing problem. Does it whine at around 35-45 mph also?...Tj

Have you done a lift on it lately? If so then it might your rear pinion angle. Mine did that right after my lift and I put in a tc drop and all better.

Yeah I am leaking a little bit of dark black fluid, i know its not the oil, I just replaced it yesterday. I also found out that my 4x4 doesn't work. When its engaged it just makes really loud banging noises in the front end.
