A no start problem

A no start problem
Trust me when I say I've done my research. I know I must be looking over something.
So it started with wanting to change my duel e-fans up so the would kick on by themselves. I then cut the wires to the coolant temp sensor and tied them into the fan relay thinking it would send the right To run both the truck and the new electric fan. The kit came with a thermostat control that I screwed into the cts spot and went to crank it to see how it would work. And nothing. I'm not getting spark. I put it all back to stock and still no spark. When I try to start it I get 12 volts to the power wire on The coil pack then it drops Immediately to .2 volts. The other funny thing is I'm getting 5 volts on both wires at the coolant temp sensor. I drop in my new spear cps just to see if this would help and it didn't. I'm lost plz any help would be nice. Thanks.

Up date;
If I ground out the black wire to the Coolant temperature sensor it starts up. Idk why this works. But as soon as I hit a ground to it you can hear everything under the hood click to run.

Interesting, but to start how about a year since they are not all the same.
And first mistake was cutting the wires to the coolant temp sensor.
Just curious what a "spear cps" is?

It's a 96 4.0. And your so right I shouldn't have cut them. Lol but I did. I'm just glad it's not my dd. And spear cps was suppose to be spare cps. Lol

Ok so I've done this. I can now get it to start by grounding out the black wire with the blue line. But it's not running 100% by doing this. I've tested all the sensors and they all seem to be fine. I can't find a burn or crack in the wires. This black wire meets up with a few others and I've traced them all or so it seems. I must be over looking something. Is there a wiring guy on here that can help me out????
