Default No start, no clutch pressure.

I just picked up an 84 XJ on Thursday and when I got it it ran perfect however leaked from the rear main. Over Thursday and Friday night I replaced the rear main, got the flywheel resurfaced and put in a new clutch. This morning i finally got it all finished up and the first problem is I cant build any pressure in the clutch pedal (im assuming it's due to my lack of knowledge on bleeding clutches) and the jeep wont start, it turns, but no start. Any ideas? Is there any sort of safety switch that would prevent it from starting bc of the lack of pressure in the clutch? Thanks.

(ps while tightening one of the bell housing to engine bolts the threads on the motor stripped. Will there be a problem if its missing a bolt?)

on the no start issue - did you reconnect the cps ? or maybee you destroyed it during the removal of the gearbox

on the bleeding if the clutch. you need a friend.
top up the fluid.
open the bleedscrew.
press and hold the pedal down.
close the bleedscrew.
raise the pedal again.
repeat untill the is no air left.

The no start issue wound up being a bad battery connection. And I was able to bleed the clutch alone but i had to move VERY fast. Thank you though. But now it runs like a top, shifts smooth, and doesnt leak oil
