So, the other day I drove to work (95 2.5L, manual) and everything was fine. When I jumped in to leave work at the end of the day it wouldn't fire up. The dash, door chime and everything lit up but when I turned the key all the way over... nothing. No crank, nothing. I tried to jump it, nothing. My brother met me and we pulled the cap on the starter relay and with the key fully turned we were able to get it to fire up when he closed the relay manually. We thought it was a dead relay, replaced it, same problem. Installed a new ignition switch, same situation. Replaced the crankshaft position sensor, same issue. Checked all fuses. We are pretty much at our mechanical and electrical ends. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

What I've read is that manual transmissions have a Clutch Interlock Switch similar to a NSS. My Jeep does not have one... Im not too sure why but I was most certainly looking for for it and theres not one. I bought the Jeep a few months ago and I can't say Ive ever tried to start it without the clutch depressed, just out of habit you know.

OK, so my understanding is that the yellow wire coming from the ignition switch is the one that leads to the starter relay, right? Well theres nothing making it to the relay when I turn the key all the way. I assume this means the wire has been compromised somewhere in between point A (ignition) and B (starter relay). Therefore I can further assume that I need to run a new wire...? Does anyone have any info that might help me in completing this task? What gauge wire comes from the ignition switch? Would it be smart to run a fuse in between? Thanks for all the help guys! I feel like Im getting close!!!

Just a recap for those who may be searching for a solution to their current problem. So, I finally figured out what this cause of my no start issue was. Ready for this... wait for it.... lock cylinder. Yep, busted lock cylinder.
I mean, Im stoked it wasn't an electrical issue, but I certainly would like that time back. You live and boooyyyyy did I learn.
