Default No Start

I just replaced the exhaust manifold on my 88 Cherokee, and when I tried to start it, it started up fine, but sounded abnormally loud, and different, then about 2 seconds later, it died. I tried it multiple times. Any suggestions?

Is the manifold on right with no leaks? Did you also remove the intake?

Yes, the manifold is on right, and I put a new gasket on as well. I did remove the intake.

Is the intake hung up on the studs and not sealed to the head?

Yeah, go back and check all the connections for the exhaust. Double check all your sensors, make sure th4e connectors are tight. sounds like you have a sensor unplugged, or even missing?

Alright, could it have anything to do with
My timing belt being off?

Very unlikely. I'm assuming you have the 4.0L, though I doubt any of the Jeep engines used belts. I've never heard of a Jeep engine skipping time, but it's possible. Stick with the easy stuff first though. Test sensors, recheck all your manifolds again closely.
