95 cherokee. Left my house today, made it about 1/2 mile and engine just shut down. Got it to a parking lot, tried starting. All I would get it cranking, no start. Got it home, replaced the 30amp engine control mod fuse. Turned key forward, popped fuse. So I unplugged; coil, O2 sensor, fuel pump and injectors. Put a new fuse in, turned key. Blew another fuse. So I then unhooked the battery, PCM, fuel pump relay, and ASD relay. Hooked the bat back up. Put another fuse in it turned key, fuse okay. So I hooked the PCM back up, fuse still okay. Then hooked the ASD relay up, fuse okay. Put a new relay in the fuel pump slot, fuse okay. Hooked up o2 sensor and injectors, fuse okay. Hooked up coil and fuel pump, fuse okay. So I started it, fired right up. Shut it back down let it sit for about 1-2 hours. Started it to leave my parents house, started right up, got about 1/4 mile and bam all over again. I'm right back to where I was at 2pm. Any idea? Suggestions? I checked over wires and all seem to be okay, no bare wire...

So you've ruled out the following since the fuse blew again with them unplugged:
coil, O2 sensor, fuel pump and injectors.

But after disconnecting these, the fuse held:
battery, PCM, fuel pump relay, and ASD relay.
And after re-connecting them, the fuse continued to hold....for about 1/2 mile.

Next time it pops the fuse, immediately disconnect the PCM and see if the fuse holds.
Also give the wiring harnesses a good shake at several points and see if that blows the fuse. Sometimes the shorts are hidden inside.

it more so sounds like a wiring harness issue...... these problems normally come about xj's due to that these wires are very close to the engine block

So I went over the wiring in the cab...I found my main power wire going into my driver door switch controls was rubbed clean of insulation on one side shorting out/sparking on the door frame...so I removed my door and put a new 30amp fuse in. It fired right up. And has been running at idle for 20 mins. Have yet to drive it but progress....more then I got out of it yesterday.

You were dead on. Not sure where In the harness yet...but I ran a fresh wire off the fuse panel/power dist. Box to the pump...no more problems. Think I might just tuck the wire in the harness and call it good. I don't really feel like dismantling the whole harness in 30* weather. And having to put it back in.
