Default No spark solution

For everyone who is having a no spark issue with their GC. I may have found a solution.

First when you turn your key to start does the check engine light come on and then go off like a normal start?

If not keep the key to the on position without cranking the engine, and wait to here the ASD relay to start clicking. once that stops your CEL will flash on and then go out.

Wait about 2 more min and she should fire right up for you.

This is the problem i had with mine. a computer from the junk yard fixed if for about 2 weeks and now its slowing starting to come back i have to leave the key in run for about 30 seconds before the CEL will go through the sequence.

Now its back to troubleshooting to see what is causing the computers to fry like that as i can not afford to put a new computer in every so often

I don't have this problem in my XJ but I am curious about hearing the ASD relay clicking. I've never heard an ASD relay clicking on start up. Perhaps because I'm sitting in my Heep when I go through the start sequence. Are you hearing this from inside of your Jeep? This is an odd duck, especially if it's "frying" your PCM.

Do you have any fault codes stored (pending) in your PCM? Not all trouble codes will trigger a CEL.

no the CEL does not go through its normal cycle until after the ASD relay stops clicking. After the first troubleshooting i thought it was just a bad PCM however like you said something is causing it to fry

You can hear the ASD relay clicking as its quite loud. It does not click under normal conditions only with this problem.

How do you know it's the ASD relay clicking?

For the people who are experiencing this issue and can not get their jeep started and use it. it is an interim solution maybe i should have titled it that way. I know that until i figured this trick out my jeep sat in the yard.
