Hi,

Sorry if this has been covered. I am traveling across the country in my 96 Jeep Cherokee. After getting gas one night, when I started the car again, both headlights would no longer came on. However, the brights will still come on if I pull the stalk (the passing lights), so I was able to drive temporarily by holding that in position. It looks like the fuses are all okay. Everything else works normally (all electrical functions, including interior light and dimmer on headlamp switch). Any idea where this problem might be?

Have you tried replacing the headlight switch?

 

I haven't. Is that a simple thing to do (or to test)?
