Check all of the fuses first. You need a scanner and a DVOM, along with a trouble tree in order to correctly diagnose a faulty ECM.

There have been cases where No Bus showed and the fault was traced to a corroded ground connection on the engine.
Check these ground terminals for corrosion and security of attachment. Checking for corrosion means removing the nuts and looking at both sides of the wire ring terminals. If there's any doubt, clean the ring terminals with 320 grit (or finer) sand paper then reattached them.
Here's the location of those grounds. Of course, the 00 and 01 won't have a coil there for reference but the grounds are there.
It's called G101.

Here's what the two trouble making ring terminals look like when not connected. Battery ground cable not shown. That's the coil connector next to them.

Also, check the short ground lead coming off the battery (-) post to the right inner fender. That ground is the main chassis ground. That's an 8 MM screw holding the terminal to the fender. I took mine off the other day and it was very rusty. Used a new bolt to reassemble to the fender. This is called G100.
