No fuel pressure after being T-Boned
My son was T-Boned a couple of days ago on the drivers side, it's a 98' Cherokee Classic, 4.0l, inline 6, 4X4, engine rebuilt 4,000 miles ago. I checked all the fuel lines and connections, no signs of physical damage, I by-passed the fuel relay and the fuel pump kicks on. Got good spark and air but "no fuel pressure in the injector rail". I can get it to run by spraying starting fluid into the throttle body, but stalls afterwards. The throttle body gives off a loud "sucking sound when running with starting fluid. I read and heard about an Inertia switch that needs to be reset or replaced , but have failed to find any facts that they exist on this model. Any body got any ideas or suggestions ??, I need to resolve this issue so, "We can Rebuild it" (Better, Stronger, Faster) !!" We went from a "Father and Son Project", to the "Jeep-enstein Project":

First off, how is your son?
I don't recollect Jeeps having inertia switches like Ford did.

Oh, sorry!! forget to mention that . He's fine, nothing more than a bruised ego, he has that "My Fault" insurance. We dropped the fuel tank and found that the "pick up tube"? was broken, replaced the fuel pump and she fired up after coming up to a strong 60 psi at the pressure port. Now on to fixing the sheet metal
