I have a 98 xj and im looking to take the doors off this summer. how would you go about doing this without having to dick around with it forever to get them on and off.

 

First off welcome to the CF, second, check out the write ups section, Im sure there is a detailed write up in there.

 

Do a search for "Door Removal" (third link from the right on that black menu bar above). There are several helpful threads on this forum and most of them involve pins on the door which just drop back into the hinges when you put the doors back on. And watch your language.

 

I always thought "dicking around" with my Cherokee was half the fun of having it.
