Okay could it be the starter relay that went out maybe? And it's a manual do I don't think it could go between park and neutral. Terminals are tight and ground to side of the block seems good also. Only had time to look at those today

OK! In post 19 we successfully verified it's an automatic! Progress. Ya know, the small wire that goes to the starter from the starter relay, (the solenoid wire)(I think it's green), that's the one when it gets power energizes the solenoid and should make it start. That terminal there on the starter is the one you hear of people jumping with a wrench or bar or whatever. Not hard to get run over if you go under and jump it while you are in gear!
Wait..it died and nothing comes on, no blinkers/fan/gauges? You might hold off on pulling the starter. A good start would be to verify that there is good power there at the battery. You might need a meter. What with jumping things at the ignition and having everything dead. HF sells a meter that actually works for about $5. Could be pretty helpful. If it is still dead jumping it you might consider looking at that junction of power wires on the starter relay I mentioned before...From there I believe it trees out on fused links to things like the ignition switch.

So it was the starter that was fried! But I also went ahead and cleans out all the wires today also. Everything seems to be working and it's running great! Thanks guys
