Does anyone have any clue what this connector is for? It is the only one I didn't have marked when I did the engine swap and I don't see a male end anywhere! Help!

What harness is it coming out of?
Poking around in the engine compartment of my '00, in the rain mind you and your welcome (LOL),
thinking alternator or that little black box on the side of the engine compartment that is part of the
ground wire harness.
By the way if you know what that is called could you please tell me? MLOL

The alternator only has on connection, and I already plugged it in....(unless I'm being super blind today....)

Pretty sure just the one.
Starter then?
I don't really recall much being in the battery cable harness besides the battery cables themselves.

I have a battery harness out of a '99, almost positive it is identical to an '00, somewhere. See if I can identify what you are dealing with from that.
Give me a few minutes.

Nothing even close to that on the battery harness.
There are a couple more connectors then I thought though.
Maybe a '99 battery harness is not the same as a '00.

Hey could that be the battery temp sensor connector?
That disc in the bottom of your battery tray.

Ok, thanks for looking. I don't think they are, but possibly they could be. I literally have no clue what it goes to. There is no where to plug it in. I didn't take the battery harness off my wrecked XJ that I pulled this motor out of, so I looked at that, and its not plugged in on that one, so MAYBE its for something that I don't have the option for like a remote start or something.

I looked in my '99 and '00 parts catalogs and the part numbers are the same for the battery cables.
With the exception of the 2 letters on the end of each part number. And pretty sure that does not matter.

When I did the battery cable upgrade I used the '99 harness I yanked out of a boneyard Jeep for a guide.
And as yet have not put in my higher amp alt in. Wanted to run with just the cables for awhile to make sure everything was OK.
And have not removed my old battery cables yet either.
Everything is just ziptied out of the way at the moment. LOL.
So if I have an unused connector like that on mine I am not aware of it yet.
