Took the rig in for A/C issues.( randomly blowing hot at low speeds). Shop calls and asks how to turn off alarm. I don't have an alarm! They disconnect the horn relay to stop the honking. Now i'm getting the dreaded "No Bus" error along with door locks stopped working and my battery drains everynight. Connectors on instrument cluster seem ok, replaced the crank position sensor, no change. Rig starts and runs no problem

Any ideas on where to start on this one?

 

hook up a test light between + battery and terminal...pull and replace each fuse till you identify which circuit is affected, hopefully it is a fused circuit

 

Horn beeping sure sounds like you do have an alarm system after all. Key switches on the door locks would be suspect with not any more info.

 

It doesn’t have an alarm but has a panic feature on the keyless remote. It’s activated when the panic button is pushed once when the ignition is off. Activating it pulses the horn but the vehicle is still drivable in panic mode. Panic mode is cancelled by depressing the button again or driving the vehicle over 15 mph. This may not work if your horn relay or other fuses are removed. My 99xj classic will also go into this mode for no rhyme or reason sometimes. I thought I had an alarm to when this happened the first time. If I closed my doors and cycled the locks with the remote it would stop also. I know you said your door locks weren’t working but maybe this info can help. Goodluck
