So my wife bought me a newer Jeep Cherokee (2001 4x4 4-door) while I was on deployment but now its giving her some issues. she was driving and then the gas gauge dropped and the odometer read NO BUS. She took it to the shop and they said the battery was on a little loose and the battery was shot. Got the battery replaced and the issue was fixed until later the day she hit a pothole and then the Speedometer dropped along with the gas gauge, the airbag light came on and the odometer read NO BUS. Im like great of course this would happen while on deployment right before I come home. Any ideas guys or a good shop in the Cook County area in IL? Also one more question, sorry, the Cherokee has 117,000 miles and I wanted to get the transmission fluid changed and the gasket dropped and changed as well but I heard if you dont know the service record on an higher mileage vehicle dont touch it. You might mess it up? What is your take on it? Your help is greatly appreciated!
