No bus

No bus
So I have a 2001 xj and I'm getting a no bus message on the odometer with no gauges functioning. I've removed the cluster, cleaned contacts and put dielectric grease on them, cleared codes,and checked fuses. Any thoughts? I also have a random clanking sound on a cold start. May be unrelated.
