Default No 4 wheel drive?

Are there any ideas? I know it's not the linkage because it will still shift into low range, but there is no power to the front wheels. Any suggestions? Thanks

And in your other post you asked if there is a way to bypass the vacuum actuator. Answer:YES.
Use the search feature and you'd be surprised how many post pertain to the subject. I would link it for you but I'm on my iPod.

Cap it off and get a one piece shaft from a JY

I believe it's just the driver side axle shaft. Find out what side the vacuum actuator is and that's the shaft you want.(like I said I think it's the driver side.)

if you want a quick fix, just pop off the vacuum actuator, you will see some clips holding the shift fork.

now push the collar over to mesh the 2 pieces of the axle shaft.

then push the shift fork over and put the clips in so the fork will be locked into the engaged position

now you have the front axle engaged at all times, WITHOUT having to find a 1 piece axle shaft

Or you can go to a JY and get a one piece shaft and have a "stronger" axle shaft....instead of a two piece. Either way works.

I would do it as described above until I could source a one piece shaft from a JY.
