Default Newbie needs help..

Hey guys new to the forum, figured would be a great place that maybe able to help me out. I just recently got a 89 Cherokee for free basically needed a little work but nothing major. The front speakers were shot so I replaced them and seems the passengers is not working. I was messing around with the radio wasn't sure if the stock radio has the feature of only playing right and only playing left. I saw it did front to back but wasn't sure if i was missing something. Also how do you get the rear panel off to access the rear speaks just pop it off is it just clips? I hope this isn't question that is asked over and over I belong to another car forum "s2000"'s so this is my winter car but after seeing a bunch of your jeeps its really sucking me into making this thing an offroad monster. Appreciate the help in advance

Well just ran out side and yanked out the back speaker that wasn't working.. Even with the new one its not working so its either the wiring, radio, or fuse.. but i would think all the speakers would be on the same fuse... Looks like trial and error tomorrow

I think they have an external amp. I'm not sure where it is on those older Jeeps. Your problem might be that amp. Also, a grounded speaker could cause the radio to cut out.

Yea I think so too, I ripped apart all the panels finally took the radio out and located the front right speakers and cut them about 3 inches out of the radio and hooked those up to the speaker to see what would happen... and nothing so Im going to try and swap out the radio before I go any further
