a newbie with a 92 that's seen better days!
Hey all, thank you for helpin me w/ the oil pressure sending unit! seems to be workin good so far, at least no new spots on the driveway..lol This worked so good the last time I thought I would ask a couple of more questions, so here goes:
I found quite a bit of oil in my air filter housing, it seems to be comin out of the motor from the valve cover any ideas??
This one is harder, after I've been goin for about 15-20 mins at highway speeds, she will buck a few times around 65-70mph and 2k rpm then after the bucking it drives fine, but seems more strained than before.
I've got a 92 xj with 172k on the odometer, just replaced water pump, thermostat, hoses, fan belt and oil pressure sending unit, I've never been accused of being a mechanic before but I can follow directions pretty good
Thanks for all the help !

oil on the air filter is normal granted its not soaked. the tube that comes fron the valve cover to the intake is called a blow by, & will spit a little oil on the filter over time!
As for the "bucking" are you getting any check engine lights. also have you checked the transmission fluid?

thanks for lettin me know about the air filter......I've put a new one in so, I'll find out how much it's collecting...the tranny fluid is full, light brown in color and doesn't smell, and nope no check engine lights. are there any additives that I can put through the transmission?
