new transfer case to me?

anyone know what models jeep these came in? the lift is for a xj and its RE's 5.5... confused about the transfercase option? when did the cherokee get a np229? lol... just curious...

Early models like 84 to 86 or 87. Also had a 207 and a 229 I think.

It was replaced by the 242.
