I'm running 32's on stock axles now. I wanna go to 33's. We're taking a 1000 mile road trip next month for Christmas. Do you think I should get the new 33's before the trip? Is a long road trip with the 33's recommended? We've done the trip before with my current setup but I need some tires soon. Thanks

Either way will work, but if your current tires are to a dangerously low tread depth, replace them.
When the rubber hits the road, that's all you got.....

I wouldn't run a bald tire on a trip but if you are switching to a tire with bad road manners such as a bogger and you have the tread to make it I would hold off. Also consider if you are switching brands most tires aren't there exact printed size. My 35" bfgs are only abt 34.5". So a 32 in one brand and 33 in another may hardly be a difference. But if are staying with the same tread I say replace. The small amount it will affect your mpg it will make up for in peace of mind having new rubber

I have the old BFG KMs right now. I'm looking at Goodyear duratracs or BFG KM2s. Its my DD. I only wheel about once a month since we just had a kid (no time.) Mostly I want a tire that'll be good in snow, on the rocks and won't drown out my music when driving down the road with the windows down.
I'm also on 15x7 D windows with 4" backspacing. What do you guys think about 33x10.5s or should I go with 33x12.5s?

33x12.5 duratracs..especially if you want it good in snow..People rave about those tires and I can't wait to get me a pair.
Km2 are good but I've heard they hum pretty good around 70mph, but they are great offroad & onroad. The duratacs are probably better onroad, & deffinetly better in the snow. Duratracs get my vote.
