New starter odd sound

Just replaced my starter with a remanufactured starter. Starts up great but while turning makes kind of a whining sound. This is the first starter ive replaced and not sure if it's normal or not. Maybe shim it?

It's fine. My new HD one does that too. Sounds like a warp drive starter lol.
Is there a "wind down" sound right after you get idle too?

Ok thanks. Ya there's a wind down sound. Guess I was just used to my old worn out starter lol
