Default a new spin on removable doors?

well my buddy has a wrangler and i love how easy it is to take his on and off. do you think if i got two of the bottom hinges, it would support the weight of the door? i know about the wireing and blah blah blah im just worried about a new "kustum" way to take the doors off

if you have a 96 or older xj then just cut the bottom of the hinge off. I did it too mine and it works great

I wanna pick up some cheap junk doors and fab them really low, but fit the same on the sides so you cant see the inner door frame.. (i think it looks like junk) it would be a fun cheap project.

wrangler hinges bolt through the fenders don't they? i don't think the XJ fenders can handle the weight of the door

do a search for half doors there are tons of different designs for them i want to do some eventually but the first step is going door less that way you can interchange between the half and full door
