I want to get some aftermarket speakers, but I want to keep the Jeep covers on to keep that stock look. Any ideas on some good speakers that are the size that I could do that?

I got some wal-mart speakers today for 26 bucks. VR3 Brand. But they have a set of 5 1/4 Pioneers that were 40. Woulda got those if i wasnt broke as ****. IMHO, Infinity Kappa's are amazing speakers. I'd look into getting a set of those.

5 1/4"s in the doors and 6" in the back if i remember rite. and id go with alpine or JL audio. and you might consider putting marine speakers in the doors if you play in the water alot....theyre waterproof and they make a speaker box that will fit a sub in the rear passenger panel....

It might be 6's if you have the sound bar, but if they're in the hatch they're definitely 5 1/4's. Also, you can check crutchfield.com. I've got Alpine SPR-13C's. They woop azz!

I have 6.5 front and rear in my 2000 Cherokee. It's been 2 years since I installed them but it was pretty easy. I think I used 6.5 shallow mounts in the front and regular 6.5's in the rear. All you need to do is drill new holes. The factory grills in the rear and the door panels fit just fine. Stock speakers are 5.25.

you can fit 6.5 in the front doors and 5.25 in the rear. I just found a deal on a nice set of Boston's on amazon for $39. They got really good reviews. Crutchfield had them priced at $90.

I just put new speakers in mine a few weeks ago. all the speakers are 5.25. I left the stock covers on mine. I think it made it easier because you don't have to take the covers off just the door panel. Mine is an 89 so i am not sure if the door panels are different it the newer xjs.

Stock on the later years should be 5.25 in the front doors and the rear sound bar (not sure on the previously stated infinity system if that happens to be what you have)

Just be sure if youre looking to KEEP the stock look, check how big the speaker baskets on the new speakers (casing on the back of the speaker i suppose you could say) are and the mounting depths. They do design different from make to make and the sizes/ styles of the baskets. Just something to keep in mind and look at.
