Default new shocks necessary for 3" lift?

TIRED of searching, i get distracted way too easily and now i have a headache. do i have to get BPE's or new shocks for a 3 inch lift? my jeep sees 99% pavement so i care nothing about flex, so will my stock shocks work on the pavement? My buddys yota has a 3 inch lift and 2 inch body lift so i figured mine would be fine.

ALSO, does the rocky road 3 inch BB come with a solid 3" spacer or is it 2 spacers stacked on each other?

The only reason to get BPE's is if you want to run alot of the more expensive shocks not engineered specifically for an XJ and not to have to worry about snapping the rusty bolts.

Your shocks will work if you dont care about flex.
