There are water pumps that turn clockwise and ones that turn counter clockwise. What is the history behind the cooling system. Was the block flushed, how about the heater core. Pull the thermotat and test it. The pump pulley may move and the impeller may be shot also. Are both hoses getting hot?

This baby doesn't mess around. Pulls 2000 cfm. I am going to mount two. Anyway, check it out.
Thats a nice fan but too much money for my taste, you could get a 2 speed Taurus fan for like $35 around the J/Y near me. Here is a writeup on a conversion...Tj

I have dual electric fans now in a shroud I made. But I have air flow issues. I am doing several things to correct that, one of them being doubling the air flow of the fans.

The normal airflow of an electric fan is 600 - 1000 cfm. These bad boys flow 2200 cfm when single and 2000 cfm in tandem. And they are only 11" in diameter.

This is true for the closed systems, such as my 89, but I'm pretty sure with a 93, you have an open system, and you do not run into that problem with an open system. There's a little hole on the waterpump, right below the pulley, and if it looks like water has been coming out (there would be like a streak mark), then your seal is bad, and you should replace. Once again did you put in the required amount of fluid, or would it not take it all? If not, you prob have an air bubble.

Pressure test the system, also they make a product for testing gasses in the coolant for a bad head gasket. Pull some plugs to see how they are burning(color).
