Probably been covered here before. Did a little searching, and while that always helps, soliciting feedback on general principle.
So yesterday, I hopped in my Jeep, hit the clutch... and nothing.
I can get the clutch to work if I pump it. I thought the master was blown, as a blown master will give that symptom, however, so will a blown slave. I filled the reservoir a bit today, and it was better. I have yet to determine whether I have fluid leaking from the bell housing or not. Need to get out there, pump the crap out of it, and take a look underneath. Should I just replace the bad component once I track it down? I have a new master sitting on my table that I ordered. I also now know why it is necessary to get into the trans housing to do the slave: I did not know that it was integrated with the throwout. Neat design, but damn.
I do not know when, if, or ever the throwout was done on this car. I have about 160,000 on it, and 20-30,000 of it is me.
I have read a weak pressure place will cause this as well? Though, if I look under my car, and see a fluid spot, I highly doubt it is the pressure plate. Should I just throw down for the clutch kit, and swap it ALL, since it'll have to all come out to replace the slave?
Any tips for determining if it is the master cylinder vs. the slave? Seems to get better after I topped it up, and tightened the cap back down.
Thoughts or suggestions?

Yeah, it isn't like the kit is *that* much more expensive than the throwout/slave is anyways. Guess I'll zip back to Autozone to return the master cylinder. I see evidence of leaking, as in wet areas around the bottom of my bell housing, and what looks like fresh fluid spots underneath my rig... sooo.... off I go.
Bummer... I think the master would have been easier than the slave...

Yeah, I am really pinched for money right now though, so I could seriously use that $50 back in my bank account.
Trying to see who has a good slave for less than an arm, leg, and some toes on the side.

I'm just gonna drop my trans out over one of my weekends after payday. At least I know how to chump it out until then. Top it off, perhaps bleed it. It sucks, but I know it'll get me there for the time being. The prices vary depending on what you get. I don't even know what type clutch is in mine in terms of diameter (9", 10" how many splines). I am pretty sure that my trans is a '94, as is most of my wiring harness, though my model year is '93 (guessing a late model considering how many '94 connectors are on there).

Replace it all. My slave was bad and I did the whole clutch kit. It works now, but doesn't fully disengage, I'll be getting a new master too this weekend. Should have done it all at the same time and been done with it.
