Thanks
Yes, but you have other issues. If you only had P1694 then, yes, I would look into the CPS.

CCKen, nothing on those 2 plugs underdash, no corrosion -nothing changed with shaking wires. I'm going to go back and look at plugs under the dash. Also no water stains, or rust it's pretty clean under the dash.

CCKen,
After 2 days of working on the Cherokee, going over ever plug, cleaning and inspecting the connections from front to back, I'm happy to report it's fixed!!!!!! It was the wires going to fuel pump under the plastic corrugated sheathing that goes to the top of the gas tank, they had worn/rubbed bare spot in wires and were grounding out. I cut, soldered and heat shrinked the bad wires, I just got back from 40 mile test run all good!!!!!! CCKen I thank you for hanging in there and helping me along the way, you're a real asset to this forum

Dflintstone,
You were on it! talk about finding a needle in a haystack!!!! I had checked that plug to the gas tank and shook the wire 2-3 times, nothing changed. After going through every plug from front to back and under dash, replaced cps and cleaned bottom of pdc, that was the last plug ( I almost skipped it because of previous inspections) I crawled under there with the electrical cleaner again, and I was having a hard time getting the plug apart and my hand slipped pushing the plastic wire protector up, then I felt the bad spot and fixed it. Dflintstone I also want to Thank you for your help, you are also a asset to this forum. Thank You!!!!!!!
