Well I have a 93 Cherokee Country 2wd 2door. I have been using this as a play truck just towing a small kayak trailer, picking up mulch, etc. Well a good friend of mine (a Jeep guy) gave me some ideas of things to do to this great classic. Then I found this fantastic website. Well needless to say the Jeep addiction has begun. I am in need of replacing my front brakes and rotors. I am thinking about doing a 3" lift later this year as well. Is there anything that a rookie should know about changing or upgrading these brakes? Thanks so much.
Kinda curious about any UPGRADE to the brakes that could be done also. Are there any larger rotor kits and what not? Not looking to drive it like a sports car, but would like a little more braking power.

The only brake upgrade besides rear disk brakes is the wj knuckle/rotor/caliper swap. But it requires replacing the knuckles on the axle tubes. There are write ups on the web about it. and it increases braking power 10 fold.
to the OP, disk brakes are easy easy to do. You can do them with basic tools no problem!
