5.5" you can run 33's if you trim the fenders a little. Without trimming you can run 32's. Either way, I'd go ahead and go for 4.10 gears to replace the stock 3.55's.

so im definitly looking at gears, 4.10 or possibly 4.56...will i need to change out my housing and or axles? will this vehicle be higway capable with those gear ratios? i really wanna run 35's but is that realistic with stock axles and a six inch lift

33's with 4.10's is a really good setup. It'd be fine on the hwy as well. You an still use the same housing and shafts with them too. 35's are right at the stock shafts' limits, and at 6", you'd have to do some serious trimming to keep them from rubbing pretty bad. I'd stick to 33's and RE's 5.5".

I have two 98s both are lifted and I love the Hell outta them! Rubicon Express make great lifts and there springs flex good and ride good. My only problem with my jeeps is they have abs which means they have dana 35s which are junk! I just put a chrysler 8.25 in my XJ and my wife is running a police edition d35. Hers has bigger breaks but is still a pos. If you have abs start looking for an upgrade

So today is the day!! 98, 130k miles. mint inside out and under. Minor exhaust, death wobble, and tps(throttle positioning sensor) problems. i got a ton of questions but i will limit them!

1. Should i adress the death wobble problem? i am going to get a lift for it anyways, and the entire suspension will be redone.

2. i want a big lift but not so much that i cant drive it when i want to on road. i was thinking rustys 8" long arm with 1.74 spacers and 2" blocks for around 10" total. Too much for any on road driving? other kit was the rubicon express 5.5 long arm with spacers and blocks for around 8 total. Also there is another company tt?? or something anyone have experience with them?

3. the jeep also has a short of some kind in it, the main fuse or something like that (40 or 60 amp)?? blows like once or twice a year from what i understand, anyone know about this or experience with same issue?

Thanks in advance guys!!
better check you lift laws i hear there pretty strick in md
