01 XJ Sport, solid and great looking vehicle with 120K. Losing coolant, Blackstone lab report shows coolant in the oil. Original factory 0331 head which I assume is cracked. Blackstone reports metal in the oil probably from main bearings deteriorating. 15psi hot oil pressure indicated, no knocks. I want to keep this XJ for Arizona trail rides and driving around town. Want to change the tires and do a 3” lift. However I don’t want to be stranded up a mountain with a blown engine. Think the logical step to the replace the engine with a reman, thinking that is cheaper than rebuilding current engine with a bad head. Recommendations on reman engine suppliers please.
