try getting a new ignition coil. first u test it by having a friend crank it while u hold a test light about an inch from the connector and see if it can arc a blue strong spark.

Ignition coil, ignition control module (under coil) and even ignition switch itself are still in play here. And in that order.........

after going through all of it twice, im thinking its the ignition coil but im not sure, ive worked and tested everything on it for three days now so its going to my uncles shop. HOPEFULLY its something so small its cheap. it will crank just fine. I just dont have anymore patience to deal with it. ill let you know what they say!

+1 for the coil. The Renix design isn't the best. Replace and retry. Also, a spark plug tester will work inline from the coil and the line to the dizzy.

Good luck!

so heres whats happening, It started (not actually started, but you know what i mean) the day i tightened up my starter and all my tranny bolts. i figured the cps went bad like you all did. it didnt look good so i got a new one, installed it and still didnt run. i towed it to the shop and apparently, when i tightened my transmission up, it allowed my flywheel to completely DESTROY my new CPS so ive got mymechanic tryin to solve the problem without completely doing something trashy! i have baddddd luck!
