Just changed right front, started bleeding & got a little air, then continuous fluid but will not build up. I ran 2 bottles through it. Even bled all other wheels but no air from any of them. What am I missing?

Is the bleeder screw higher than the brake line? Did you run the master cylinder dry?

Maybe a tad below but mostly just off to the side.
No, never let it run out. I would catch about 1/3 bottle (the small size brake fluid) & pour it back in.

If the bleeder screw is lower than the brake line the caliper is installed backwards, the trapped air will never bleed. Look @ the drivers side & you'll see what's happening.

Not my pic:

By backwards do you mean its on the wrong side? (should be on left side?)
This is a RHD. When buying the new one should I be buying the "Drivers side" or the "right hand side"? They of course don't differentiate at the parts store but maybe they should.
I got the right hand side figuring there would be no difference. If I'm not mistaken it matched with the old one though. Could have been looking at it wrong?

Yep, bleeder is lower. So do I just need the opposite side then? Guess I'll haul a$$ to the parts store now. Gotta work it tomorrow.

Quote: Caliper is universal D/P side. Unbolt the caliper flip it 180 degrees and reinstall, don't kink the brake hose.
How is that possible?
They're not universal according to the parts store & the pics they show at Autozone unless I'm misunderstanding something, but thats possible! :-)

Got it swapped out. Got a little better but still not like it was before removal. I bled & bled. Didn't get a lot of air but this time I left bleeder open & let it gravity fill til it started running out before bleeding.
After I got it back in driveway from shop (hundred ft or so) I pumped it a bunch with engine running & got a good pedal but don't expect it to last. Going back out in a few to see though.
