Default New bushing installation questions

Ok, I just ordered a full bushing replacement set from quadratec and was wondering is there anything other than spraying everything down with penetrating oil that i should do to prep for this project and I will need any specialty tools. I am also replacing my leaf springs and front coil springs, stops, and isolators. Do i need to grease the bushing prior to install? Any help or tips will be appreciated.

Oil/grease usually isn't good for bushings. Try some silicone spray/grease.

Are you replacing with OEM style rubber bushings? You would be better off replacing the whole arm, you run the risk of damaging the flimsy stamped steel arms when pressing the bushings out and installing the new bushings.

Dude I really don't like you . Okay, just jealous! I just did almost the exact same thing! I don't have the resources to fab a press currently unless I can repurpose the tube bender....hmmm. Okay now I am thinking that is what I might do! Anyway, you mentioned that you are getting new springs, are you sure they aren't coming with them. Just a thought. Also, good luck with the bolts on your rear suspension! I hosed mine completely for what seemed like a month prior and I broke quite a few. If you haven't seen the write up already (https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f51/sw...utorial-99369/) it is a must! Would have saved me months worth of grief fabbing replacement front mounts myself. Hope this helps.
