neutral safty switch bad?
would the jeep crank fine or no crank at all if the NSS is bad or dirty. my jeep died as soon as i put it in park. and now it wont start . any advice

My transmission line is starting to go and sometimes by jeep wouldn't start. And I have to wiggle it out of park to neutral and rock it sometimes to start it LOL.

Play with the shifter and see if you can get it to crank over. Sounds like a nss to me. If you can get it to crank by messing with the shifter take it apart and clean it. Do all your other electronics work normal?

ill check ground , it died the second it hit park as if done by key . it seemed to be in the shifter.goin back down there .ill be back.

i remember one time checking for voltage at the cps connector and couldnt get a reading at the male part of conn, unplugged. so i stabbed the back end of the female connector plugged it in, went to just get a reading and it started, stayed runnin. but i never knew for sure if that was the culprit.so i jammed the pointy end of a continuity tester in the back of each wire . not to test it . just to poke that old connector around and it fired rite up. and now it is the best jeep in the world again. lol
