They're worth it. You get a much smoother idle and better throttle response. IF you're looking for mpg's, you might be disappointed. The only reason you'll get a mpg increase (if at all) is due to taking out dirty injectors and putting in clean ones. For me though, it's worth the $60 bucks to buy a set from guys on here that are selling them. Just make sure they completely refurbish them before you pay for them. Myself and Programbo sell them and both of us do a very thorough job on them.

Pull your injectors and inspect them. If they have black deposits/grime on them, then clean them or replace.
My experience is that replacing injectors had little affect on gas mileage.

bownut.sorry.
Don't mean to jack this thread, but i have been seaerching for a definative answer with no luck.
I have a bunch of mountaineer/explorer 5.0 injectors. they are yellow/orange. i think they are 19lbs per hr. is that enough. i read that the cherokee run on 21lbs,but with only 1 spray hole maybe the 19's will work.
will these fit with the stock injector harness on my 99 sport. i have these allready. just trying to save myself a trip to the j-yard. they have allready been cleaned too.
also with my 99 do i need to do anything else to make this work.
i appreciate any help you guys can give. these things are just sitting in my shed.
i've got the mudfrog exhaust along with a high flow cat ready to go on when it gets alittle warmer so this would make a nice addition.
thanks again.

I replaced mine. TOTALLY TOTALLY TOTALLY worth it!
Better fuel utilization due to the better atomoization, smoother idle, and I did recieve a 2 mpg increase. And before I get struck down for the statement, I did my tests based on 5 different top-offs at the same pump at the SAME gas station.
I went from 20 mpg highway to 22.

hey.. for what its worth i put 703 neon injecotrs in my 90 xj yesterday.. went cmping yesterday and crwaling. and i will say.. huge difference in low speed low rpm fuel metering.. it eliminated a lot of flat spots.. as for mileage.. i never cared in the first place but its slightly, slightly better.. and i drive like a teenager that just got his license.. just my. 02.. hope it helped.. also fyi. power increase in my applicatoon did not go up or down. and it wad a very very easy swap.. any one with a 13mm wrench can do it. and i did not get reman units.. i just grabbed 8 and picked the best ones (visually) and bolted them in.
